42oN: The New England Forum for Arctic Collaborations
Please join us for 42oN: The New England Forum for Arctic Collaborations Fall 2024 Workshop on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the University of Southern Maine (USM). This workshop is jointly hosted by USM’s Maine North Atlantic Institute and the Muskie School of Public Service.
This year’s workshop is focused on Strengthening Collaborative Networks, Supporting Students & Emerging Researchers. The workshop aims to foster and expand a robust network of Arctic researchers and stakeholders from New England and beyond, with a special emphasis on supporting students and early-career researchers. We will hear from faculty, researchers, professionals in the field as well as students. We welcome all interested students; registration is free for students!
Student Panelists: We are looking for students to join a special student/early career professional panel on Building Networks for Arctic Engagement. If you would like to serve on this panel, please submit your name, institutional affiliation and a brief paragraph on your engagement with Arctic related topics/collaborations to Firooza Pavri at firooza.pavri@maine.edu. Faculty, please nominate your students to serve on this panel!
Posters: The workshop will host a poster session, so please bring your posters to the workshop. We will provide pins and poster boards. Please be sure to submit information regarding your poster through the registration link.
We will end the day with a tour of the world-class Osher Map Library with Arctic maps on display.
